A Little More Progress on the Entryway

Yay! Last week our new light fixture arrived and the following day I hung it with help from a couple of the women's basketball players. I have hung most of the ones in this house that I've switched out myself (well, if you don't count Lillie - haha!) so I have to say it was really nice having a 6'3" helper holding the weight of the chandelier while I wired it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I ordered the smaller size but it still is a bit bigger and has a bit more "bling" than I was expecting (which probably sounds silly seeing how I knew what it looked like when I ordered it) but in real life it has taken a bit of time to adjust to it. Haha! I originally planned on going with a lantern in here but the more I stared at how it would look from the angle where you could see the chandelier in our dining room I realized the lantern I  liked really wouldn't coordinate very well with that so I went a completely different direction. I thought this one would coordinate well with it, and I do think that but it is a bit more of a statement piece than I was planning on getting for the entryway - whoops! Haha!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicKCoCC0tvCMqhk4He-5ah69q1NrSXLo90vPrf0IpkJqj9l06_oGQI_ALnQq8NozAN1KW8Ieefh_TphyphenhyphenYCMrNKTo4oNAw-E7z5SjbL0uGrWoyaDIapvTAH6MqnLnGOmf9W6_5dsn5aAWs/s1600/bDSC_3100.jpg" width="436" /></div><br />Even though all the rest of the Christmas decorations were put away in the attic I left the garland on the stairway up so I could take pictures with the new light fixture seeing how I knew it was going to look quite bare once we took the garland down until I get around to dealing with decorating the wall going up the stairs.  <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Project Decorate and a WIN A $500 Gift Card to POTTERY BARN!

<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I am so excited to tell you about <a href="http://honeywerehome.polyvore.com/">POLYVORE</a> and their new Project Decorate campaign! You may have heard of Polyvore before and thought of it more of a fashion tool. That's pretty much how I always thought of it. I often pinned sets of outfits that I loved on Pinterest but never ventured onto Polyvore myself until earlier this fall when I discovered Project Decorate. I quickly realized just how easy it was to use and how much fun it was to play around on!  It comes in so handy when you are working on a room getting to see how all the elements come together! </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/project_decorate_casual_elegance_with/collection?id=3128044"><img alt="http://www.polyvore.com/project_decorate_casual_elegance_with/collection?id=3128044" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGb1aN4pq_AMNaUt1vZk95quFdqKmWcgtXQqcEYPtbbFu5mCtutkYsIy3QpWhzhDlfmnOoCF0f4uMhd4krAUpur46ElAQl51WQFWGsoSqdtDXnloaQAhjSz_S2_NbPuS7LwJMm_LioRnA/s1600/Screen+shot+2013-12-02+at+1.35.40+AM.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a class="PIN_1385965244770_pin_it_button_20 PIN_1385965244770_pin_it_button_en_20_gray PIN_1385965244770_pin_it_button_inline_20 PIN_1385965244770_pin_it_beside_20" data-pin-config="beside" data-pin-log="button_pinit" href="http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fhoneywerehome.blogspot.com%2F2013%2F10%2Fpolyvore-project-decorate-win-500-to.html&media=http%3A%2F%2F4.bp.blogspot.com%2F-b94vgPTH1S4%2FUlqu2T_asPI%2FAAAAAAAAeoI%2F9y_9A4XpQWw%2Fs1600%2FScreen%2BShot%2B2013-10-13%2Bat%2B9.30.29%2BAM.png&guid=pcf2cn6RvqsX-0&description=Polyvore%20Project%20Decorate%20//%20Win%20$500%20to%20Pottery%20Barn#widget" target="_blank"><span class="PIN_1385965244770_pin_it_button_count" id="PIN_1385965244770_pin_count_0"><br /></span></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><u><span style="font-size: large;">NOW FOR THE FUN PART:</span></u></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b><u><br /></u></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We are <a href="http://www.polyvore.com/project_decorate_casual_elegance_with/collection?id=3128044">partnering with Polyvore</a> to help introduce their launch into the home decor market by hosting a contest where you can <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #134f5c;"><b>win a $500 gift card to Pottery Barn</b>.</span></span> Yes, you read that right!
