I didn't really get any good shots of Lola with him but I like how she is eyeing him in this one! Haha! She was quite content sitting on his lap but for the third year in a row Lillie was scared of him and wouldn't go near him. I have been wanting to go for the past three years and am so glad we finally decided to do it. I think it was the most fun I have ever seen Lillie have. She walked around completely wide eyed and just kept saying the funniest and sweetest things. At one point when we were all sitting down and eating S'mores she looked up at Dana and I completely unprompted and said, "This is a dream come true!" I think we all melted. And then a little while later she and Jamie were checking out some of the lights and she leaned in and told Jamie the same thing. Her favorites were the train ride and penguins and she was completely enthralled by the ballet performance. We had a busy but really lovely day here. First we had a wonderful meal at the Williamsburg Lodge down in Colonial Williamsburg with the team (the cupcake station where you got to pick your frosting and toppings and the hot cocoa were my favorites...the hot cocoa was heavenly!), then we had fun little birthday party for Lillie in the afternoon and after that my mom cooked us a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Needless to say, I am stuffed! And yes, I know, my poor mom had to travel and then cook the whole meal, but if you ever tasted something I cooked you would understand why my mom did the cooking. =)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I haven't been taking many pictures lately, but I made up for that yesterday and took tons and tons! I will share some of them on here soon. Maybe this weekend if I get a chance.  In the meantime here are a few of Lillie wearing the crown we made for her earlier this week using a mix of a tutorial by my friend <a href="http://www.joyfolieblog.com/2011/09/diy-wednesday-lace-crowns.html">Jessica</a> and one by Bethany of the <a href="http://bitterbettyindustries.blogspot.com/2008/10/tutorial-tuesday-gilded-lace-crowns.html">Betty</a>. When I first saw the <a href="http://www.joyfolieblog.com/2011/09/diy-wednesday-lace-crowns.html">tutorial on the Joyfolie blog</a> I stored away in my mind that it would be fun to make for Lillie's birthday. I showed Lillie the picture of Jessica's daughter <a href="http://www.joyfolieblog.com/2011/09/diy-wednesday-lace-crowns.html">Mia</a> wearing it and Lillie thought it was beautiful but asked if we could make hers pink. I was planning on keeping it cream but we added some pink glitter instead. It was super easy. I just painted on coat of mod podge on the trim and then we sprinkled the glitter on and used the blow drier and then added three more cots of mod podge. An Addiction and Two Winners

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I don't know about you all, but I have a serious addiction. In my opinion it is one of the best ideas EVER! I was one of those strange people who had huge three ring binders full of pages I had ripped out of magazines. I had seven (yes, seven!) total binders and they were each at least two inches thick, and every last one of them was jam packed full of images from wedding ideas, to crafts to home design. As much as I loved having everything neatly organized once I had Lillie and then Dear Lillie started I never had time to add to those binders. In fact, I think it has been well over three years since I had actually filed anything in them. I had ripped images out of magazines since then, of course, but had just stuffed them in folders or drawers figuring maybe someday I would have time to file them. So, when I discovered pinterest this past spring I fell madly in love! I could finally have everything organized again but it was going to be a million times easier and quicker. Along with adding new pins daily to <a href="http://pinterest.com/dearlillie/">my own account</a>, it is also fun seeing items from <a href="http://pinterest.com/source/dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/">our blog</a> and <a href="http://pinterest.com/source/dearlillie.com/">shop</a> being pinned too!
