The fun thing about the vinyl is that it can add a nice season touch to dishes you already own. Inspired You

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Inspired-You-Letting-Breathe-Heart/dp/1400320887"><i>Inspired You</i></a>, the much anticipated book by Marian Parsons (known here in blogland as <a href="http://missmustardseed.com/">Miss Mustard Seed</a>) was officially released today! Marian is talented on so many levels. Not only did she write the book, she styled and photographed it all as well! <br /><br />Marian's blog is one of my absolute favorites and I have to say her book is every bit as gorgeous as her blog. I think it goes without saying that it is a visual treat, but it is also a truly enjoyable read. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Inspired-You-Letting-Breathe-Heart/dp/1400320887"><i>Inspired You</i></a> is not only loaded with tips and tutorials but it's also full of heartwarming personal stories (like the free piano her husband surprised her with), inspiration and encouragement. You don't have to love decorating to love this book. Reading it will inspire you to start following your dreams. What Marian has accomplished in the last few years is mind-boggling. Along with having a wildly successful blog, she's been featured in multiple magazines, was on the Nate Show, has her very own paint line and now this book! <br /><br />I highly recommend picking up a copy for yourself and it would also make a great Christmas gift. The ottoman is almost finished and once it is I will photograph it and have a tutorial for it. For today though, I have a tutorial on how I made the jewelry holder for out bathroom. (I had planned on using the frame in the first photo but then found this one that was a perfect match for the other frames I already had in the bathroom so I ended up switching to this one). I found these glass knobs at Lowe's.  I would have preferred a silver base but this was pretty much all they had. November is Here!

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I think November 1st (and yes, I am aware today is actually November 2nd...) is one of my favorite days of the year. I am not a big Halloween fan, although I have to say watching Lillie and Lola's excitement over dressing up and the way they have been obsessing over their candy is winning me over a teeny tiny bit. Lillie has been sorting hers for two days and playing endless games of waitress with it but oddly enough just finally had her first piece of chocolate today, and only ate a tiny piece of it. Lola on the other hand has been carrying her basket with her at all times. Literally, she has not let it out of her sight and only sets it down when she absolutely has to use that arm for something. I've taken about 30 pictures in the last two days just of her carrying upstairs, downstairs, into bed (don't worry, we didn't let her sleep with it!), in the car, etc. Trying to get her dressed and undressed while switching it from one arm to the other is entertaining. Fortunately she can't get most of the wrappers open so she hasn't had nearly as many pieces of candy as she would like to have had by now. So, although I am not much of a Halloween fan, I have been quite entertained these past few days. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The reason I love November 1st so much is that for me it is what I consider the beginning of the holiday season - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Oh how I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and everything they entail!
